So, you know that song that you love but can never quite catch all the lyrics to? Or the song you loved back *gasp* BEFORE the INTERNET and never knew the lyrics to? Well, if you're anything like me you either wind up singing the wrong lyrics or add in a little 'sexy watermelon' action (this is much more tame than it sounds). Anyhow, if you're reading this blog you probably know that our family needs a few extra chuckles right now. Here is one place that I find mine. I thought I would be a good friend and share. =)
Hint: Go to www.youtube.com and search for "Misheard Lyrics _________________(name of your fave song)".
Here are a few of my faves. =) You'll have to scroll down to the bottom of this page and pause the project playlist player. *sorry*
A little background on Yellow Ledbetter

And because I was (who am I kidding I STILL sing it wrong) guilty of mishearing the 'bathroom on the right' lyric. =) Who sings about bad moons rising anyway. All I want to know is where the darned bathroom is. *snort*
Have a great day. =)

tooo funny!!
Yellow Ledbetter takes the prize for the most unintelligible lyrics.
In a normal song, sometimes it's possible to figure our what's being sung by the context, but Yellow Ledbetter is special because knowing the lyrics doesn't really help.
So here they are:
Unsealed on a porch a letter sat.
Then you said, "I wanna leave it again."
Once I saw her on a beach of weathered sand. And on the sand I wanna leave
it again. Yeah.
On a weekend I wanna wish it all away, yeah.
And they called and I said that "I want what I said" and then I call out
again.
And the reason oughta' leave her calm, I know.
I said "I know what I wear not the boxer or the bag."
Ah yeah, can you see them out on the porch? Yeah, but they don't wave.
But I see them round the front way. Yeah.
And I know, and I know. I don't want to stay.
Make me cry...
I see... Ooh I don't know why there's something else.
I wanna drum it all away...
Oh, I said, "I don't, I don't know wheather I was the boxer or the bag."
Ah yeah, can you see them out on the porch? Yeah, but they don't wave.
But I see them round the front way. Yeah.
And I know, and I know. I don't wanna stay at all.
I don't wanna stay. Yeah.
I don't wanna stay. [x2]
I don't... Don't wanna, oh... Yeah. Ooh... Ohh...
I like the Youtube version better.
If you like that, you will LOVE the website www.kissthisguy.com. It's the "archive of misheard lyrics" and it's HILARIOUS! (BTW, the name of the site comes from a misheard lyric from Lenny Kravitz..."excuse me, while I kiss this guy" (the sky). ENJOY!
Take care & God bless!

Sorry...I meant Jimi Hendrix, not Lenny Kravitz. See, now I'm not only misquoting lyrics, but I'm also misquoting the artist. HA!
This post totally made me laugh!! My sisters and I have made up many a lyrics to songs.... I love it!
I think about Miss Hadley all the time!

FunNy! I am sure it is no coincidence that a man is singing about a bathroom on the right because that is usually the ladies (with a line) :)
Watch the Lion King and the lyrics at the beginning are and i quote "pink pajamas penguins on the bottom" repeated several times. You will never hear it right again.
Love and prayers!
